Description

A southern-style, juicy meatloaf glazed with a tangy Tennessee whiskey-infused sauce that brings a bold and comforting flavor to every bite.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Tennessee whiskey (e.g., Jack Daniel’s)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, bread crumbs, chopped onion, milk, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix thoroughly until well combined but not overmixed.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan or form into a loaf shape on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the barbecue sauce and Tennessee whiskey.
  6. Brush half of the whiskey glaze over the top of the meatloaf.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes, then brush the remaining glaze over the top.
  8. Return to oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  9. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Use a mix of beef and pork for a juicier loaf. Letting it rest before slicing helps keep it moist.
