- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sriracha (optional)
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
- 1 head butter lettuce or romaine lettuce, separated into cups
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Lime wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add garlic and onion, sauté until fragrant.
- Stir in ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it apart.
- Add diced red bell pepper and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in soy sauce, fish sauce, oyster sauce, sriracha, and brown sugar. Mix well.
- Cook until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the turkey.
- Remove from heat and stir in fresh Thai basil leaves until wilted.
- Spoon the turkey mixture into lettuce cups.
- Top with sliced green onions.
- Serve with lime wedges on the side.
Notes
For extra flavor, add chopped peanuts or drizzle with chili oil before serving. Great for a light meal or appetizer.
