Description

These Thanksgiving Leftover Balls are the perfect way to turn holiday leftovers into a crispy, golden, and delicious snack or appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups leftover mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup leftover stuffing
  • 1 cup shredded leftover turkey
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine mashed potatoes, stuffing, turkey, cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper.
  2. Form the mixture into small bite-sized balls.
  3. Set up a breading station with flour, beaten egg, and panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Roll each ball in flour, dip in egg, then coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry the balls in batches until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve warm with cranberry sauce for dipping.

Notes

You can also bake these in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes for a lighter version.
