A comforting Turkish-inspired pasta dish with savory ground turkey, tomato sauce, warm spices, and a touch of yogurt for a creamy finish.

			- 12 oz pasta (penne or fusilli)
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.
- Add ground turkey, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned.
- Stir in tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, paprika, cumin, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Serve pasta hot with a dollop of Greek yogurt on top.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of grated Parmesan or feta cheese before serving. Adjust spice level by adding more or less red pepper flakes.
