- 1 box strawberry cake mix (any brand, Pillsbury recommended)
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 10 oz Wilton chocolate candy melts
- 1/4 cup Valentine sprinkles
- 12 Wilton candy hearts
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix the strawberry cake mix, vegetable oil, eggs, and flour until a soft dough forms.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll into balls. Place them evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 9–11 minutes, until the cookies are just set. Do not overbake.
- Allow cookies to cool completely on a wire rack.
- Melt the chocolate candy melts according to package instructions.
- Spoon melted chocolate into a small sandwich bag, snip the corner, and pipe chocolate into silicone heart molds.
- Press a cookie gently into each mold, add sprinkles and a candy heart on top.
- Chill until chocolate is set, then carefully remove from molds.
Notes
Tips & Storage: For extra softness, slightly underbake the cookies. You can substitute vanilla or chocolate cake mix for different flavors. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days or refrigerate for up to 1 week.
