Description
These festive Valentine Crinkle Cookies are love at first bite! Soft vanilla cookies with vibrant pink coloring get rolled in powdered sugar for a snowy effect, then finished with heart-shaped sprinkles. Perfect for classroom treats, Galentine’s Day parties, or romantic dessert boxes.
Ingredients
- 1 box vanilla cake mix (15.25 oz)
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- Pink gel food coloring
- 2 cups powdered sugar (for rolling)
- 1/4 cup heart-shaped sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In large bowl, combine cake mix, vegetable oil, and eggs until smooth dough forms.
- Add pink gel food coloring 1-2 drops at a time until desired vibrant color is achieved.
- Place powdered sugar in shallow bowl. Scoop 1-inch dough balls and roll generously in powdered sugar.
- Place cookies 2 inches apart on baking sheets. Bake 9-10 minutes until just set around edges.
- Immediately press heart sprinkles into cookies while warm. Cool completely on wire racks.
Notes
Tips: Gel coloring creates vibrant hues without thinning dough. For holiday variations, use red/green for Christmas or orange for Halloween.
Substitutions: Can use lemon or chocolate cake mix. Liquid food coloring works but may require extra powdered sugar.
Storage: Keep in airtight container up to 5 days. Freeze unbaked dough balls for 3 months.
