- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp baking powder
- Pink food coloring
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2–3 tbsp milk
- Valentine’s sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
- Whisk together flour and baking powder. Gradually add to butter mixture.
- Divide dough into 24 portions. Roll each into 6-inch sticks and place on prepared sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden. Cool completely.
- Whisk powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Add food coloring.
- Dip cooled cookie sticks halfway into icing. Decorate with sprinkles immediately.
- Let icing set completely before serving (about 1 hour).
