Description

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • Pink food coloring
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 23 tbsp milk
  • Valentine’s sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
  3. Whisk together flour and baking powder. Gradually add to butter mixture.
  4. Divide dough into 24 portions. Roll each into 6-inch sticks and place on prepared sheets.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden. Cool completely.
  6. Whisk powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Add food coloring.
  7. Dip cooled cookie sticks halfway into icing. Decorate with sprinkles immediately.
  8. Let icing set completely before serving (about 1 hour).
