- 1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 ½ cups (300g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups (360g) all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ cups Valentine’s M&Ms (plus extra for topping)
- ½ cup (90g) red and pink sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in separate bowl. Gradually mix into wet ingredients.
- Fold in 1 cup M&Ms and sprinkles. Press dough evenly into prepared pan. Top with remaining M&Ms.
- Bake 22-25 minutes until edges are golden. Cool completely before cutting into bars.
Notes
Tips: For softer bars, slightly underbake. Substitute white chocolate chips or heart-shaped candies for M&Ms. Storage: Keep in airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. Freeze unbaked dough for future use!
