- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup apricot jam
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Cream the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix well.
- Gradually add the flour and salt and mix until a dough forms.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface.
- Cut heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
- Place cookies on a lined baking sheet.
- Add a small spoon of apricot jam to the center of each heart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until lightly golden.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
Allow the cookies to cool completely so the jam can set properly before storing or serving.
