- 200g lo mein noodles or spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 1/2 cup snow peas
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook lo mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add bell pepper, cabbage, carrot, and snow peas. Stir fry for 5-6 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Add cooked noodles to the pan.
- Pour in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and sesame oil. Toss to combine evenly.
- Season with salt and pepper as needed.
- Top with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
For a gluten-free version, use tamari instead of soy sauce and gluten-free noodles. Add tofu or tempeh for extra protein.
