Ingredients
For the Cinnamon Sugar:
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
For the Cheesecake Bars:
- Two 8-ounce packages refrigerated crescent roll dough or sheets
- 16 ounces full-fat cream cheese, softened to room temperature
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1½ teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
Instructions
-
Prepare the Cinnamon Sugar:
- In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside.
-
Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and position a rack in the middle. Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan and sprinkle 1-2 tablespoons of the prepared cinnamon sugar evenly over the bottom.
-
Layer the Dough:
- Open one tube of crescent roll dough. Unroll it and press the seams together to form a single rectangular sheet. Place this sheet into the bottom of the prepared baking pan, ensuring it covers the entire base.
-
Prepare the Cream Cheese Filling:
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the ¾ cup of granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Continue beating until the mixture is creamy and well combined.
-
Assemble the Cheesecake:
- Evenly spread the cream cheese mixture over the dough layer in the pan.
- Unroll the second tube of crescent roll dough, press the seams together, and place it over the cream cheese layer, covering it completely.
-
Add Toppings:
- Pour the melted butter over the top layer of dough, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture over the buttered dough.
-
Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 26-30 minutes, or until the top is puffed and golden brown.
-
Cool and Serve:
- Remove from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, transfer to the refrigerator to chill thoroughly. Once chilled, cut into bars and serve.
