Description

A rich, creamy, and comforting white sauce pasta made with butter, milk, and parmesan—perfect for a quick and delicious meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups pasta (penne or any short pasta)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder or 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup mixed veggies (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil the pasta according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  2. In a pan, heat butter and add flour.
  3. Whisk continuously to form a smooth roux.
  4. Slowly pour in milk while whisking to avoid lumps.
  5. Add salt, pepper, and garlic, then simmer until sauce thickens.
  6. Stir in parmesan cheese and mix until melted.
  7. In another pan, sauté veggies in olive oil if using.
  8. Combine cooked pasta with the white sauce and veggies.
  9. Toss well and cook for 1–2 minutes.

Notes

Adjust milk for desired sauce thickness. Add extra cheese for a richer flavor.
