Description

A fresh, flavorful, and healthy Whole30 Turkey Taco Salad loaded with seasoned ground turkey, crisp veggies, and a zesty dressing.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 red onion, diced
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
  3. Stir in chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cook for 2-3 minutes until well combined and fragrant.
  5. Assemble salad bowls with lettuce, tomatoes, onion, avocado, and cilantro.
  6. Top with seasoned turkey.
  7. Squeeze fresh lime juice over salad before serving.

Notes

For extra crunch, add cucumber or bell peppers. This salad can be meal-prepped and stored for up to 3 days without avocado.
