Ingredients

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons instant yeast
  • ½ cup milk (warm)
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter (softened, for filling)
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix until dough forms.
  3. Knead dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Let rise for 1 hour.
  4. Roll dough into a rectangle.
  5. Spread softened butter over dough.
  6. Mix cinnamon and brown sugar, then sprinkle over butter.
  7. Roll dough tightly and slice into 12 rolls.
  8. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for 30 minutes.
  9. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 18-20 minutes.
  10. Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for glaze.
  11. Drizzle glaze over warm cinnamon rolls and serve.

Notes

For extra softness, use whole milk and let the dough rise in a warm place.
