Description
A refreshing and naturally sweetened Nigerian hibiscus drink infused with fruity and spicy flavors.
Ingredients

- 2 cups Dried Hibiscus petals (Zobo leaves)
- 8 cups Water
- 1 cup Pineapple peel (optional)
- 3–4 cups Pineapple juice (adjust to taste)
- 1–2 Ginger root, blended (adjust to taste)
- 2–3 Cloves (optional)
- 1 Cinnamon stick
- 1 tsp Black pepper corn
- 1–2 cups Orange juice (optional)
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Rinse hibiscus petals thoroughly to remove any dirt or sand.
- In a large pot, add the hibiscus petals, water, pineapple peel, cloves, cinnamon stick, and black pepper corn.
- Boil for 20-30 minutes on medium heat.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
- Strain the mixture using a fine sieve or cheesecloth.
- Add blended ginger, pineapple juice, and orange juice (if using) to the strained liquid.
- Mix well and adjust sweetness or spice as desired.
- Refrigerate or serve over ice cubes.
Notes
You can customize the flavor intensity by adjusting the quantity of ginger and juice. Best served chilled.
