Description
A moist, sweet banana bread made with just a few pantry staples.
Ingredients

- 5 overripe bananas
- 1 can condensed milk (395g)
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2.5 cups self-raising flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a loaf pan.
- Mash the bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
- Stir in the condensed milk, cinnamon, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla.
- Fold in the self-raising flour until just combined.
- If using, fold in chopped walnuts.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a skewer inserted comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Slice and serve.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg or drizzle caramel on top.
