Description

Quick and flavorful BBQ chicken sliders served on sweet Hawaiian rolls with melted cheddar and crisp veggies.


Ingredients

  • 1 (12 pack) Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 2 cups boneless, skinless chicken breast, cooked and shredded
  • 1/2 cup sugar free BBQ sauce
  • 5 slices Sargento ultra thin mild cheddar slices
  • 1/4 cup red onion, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat and add butter.
  2. Add shredded chicken, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper; sauté 3-4 minutes.
  3. Warm each Hawaiian roll in the skillet for about 1 minute per side.
  4. Layer a slice of cheddar on the bottom half of each roll.
  5. Top with a spoonful of the chicken mixture and a few red onion slices.
  6. Drizzle sugar free BBQ sauce over the filling and close with the top bun.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, brush the buns with a little melted butter before toasting.
