A bold, spicy crust on tender salmon fillets with a hint of citrus.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tsp chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
  2. In a small bowl, mix paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Brush each fillet with olive oil, then coat evenly with the spice mixture.
  4. Heat a large skillet over medium‑high heat until very hot.
  5. Add the fillets skin‑side down and sear for 3‑4 minutes until a dark crust forms.
  6. Flip and cook for another 2‑3 minutes, squeezing lemon juice over the top before serving.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and extra lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the spice mix.
