Description
Mini Caprese sliders on sweet Hawaiian rolls, bursting with fresh mozzarella, juicy tomato, and fragrant basil.
Ingredients

- 6 sweet Hawaiian rolls cut in half
- 1 tablespoon basil pesto
- 6 slices mozzarella cheese
- 6 slices tomatoes
- 6 large fresh basil leaves
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- olive oil for brushing
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat and brush the cut sides of the rolls with melted butter mixed with minced garlic.
- Place the rolls butter-side down in the skillet and toast until golden brown, about 1 minute.
- Spread a thin layer of basil pesto on the toasted side of each roll.
- Layer a slice of mozzarella cheese, a tomato slice, and a fresh basil leaf on each bottom half.
- Close the sliders with the top half of the roll.
- Return the assembled sliders to the skillet, add a drizzle of olive oil, and sear for 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts and the bread is crisp.
- Remove from heat, let cool slightly, and serve warm.
Notes
Serve immediately while the cheese is melty and the rolls are crisp.
