  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

An easy, one-pan dinner that combines savory ground beef, tender cabbage, and melted cheese — comfort food that’s budget-friendly and ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 head green cabbage, chopped
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add diced onion and cook until soft and translucent.
  3. Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
  5. Drain excess fat if needed, then add chopped cabbage.
  6. Season with paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  7. Cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender.
  8. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top and cover the skillet for 2-3 minutes, until cheese is melted.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot.

Notes

You can use mozzarella or Monterey Jack in place of cheddar for a different cheesy twist.
