- 2 Chicken Filets
- Kinders Cowboy butter
- garlic powder
- onion powder
- oregano
- paprika
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp Minced garlic
- 16oz orzo
- 32 oz chicken broth (i used bone broth, use what you prefer)
- 1/2c heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup of Parmesan cheese
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Season chicken filets with cowboy butter seasoning blend including garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, then sear chicken until golden, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove chicken and set aside; melt 2 tablespoons butter in the same pan.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Stir in orzo and toast lightly for 1 minute.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil, scraping up any browned bits.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in heavy whipping cream and Parmesan cheese until melted and sauce thickens.
- Return chicken to the pan, coat with sauce, and cook until chicken is cooked through, about 5 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper, garnish with parsley, and serve hot.
Notes
For extra richness, add a splash of white wine after the broth. Adjust seasoning to personal preference.
