- 1 cup flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¾ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- pinch of salt
- ½ cup butter, softened at room temperature
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup Greek yogurt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened at room temperature
- 2 Tablespoon sour cream
- 1 egg
- 3 Tablespoon sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
- 3 Tablespoon flour
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a bowl whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl cream softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla to the butter mixture and mix well.
- Stir in Greek yogurt and mashed bananas until combined.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the banana mixture just until incorporated.
- In a separate bowl beat cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, vanilla, and 3 tablespoons flour until smooth.
- Spread half of the banana batter evenly in the prepared pan.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture over the batter in an even layer.
- Top with the remaining banana batter and smooth the surface.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Slice and serve.
Notes
For extra flavor, fold in chopped walnuts or chocolate chips into the batter before baking.
