Description

Tender, fall‑apart beef chuck roast bathed in smoky barbecue sauce, perfect for set‑and‑forget meals.


Ingredients

  • 3 lb beef chuck roast
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Optional garnish: chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Season the beef chuck roast with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  2. Place the sliced onion at the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. Mix beef broth, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and minced garlic in a bowl.
  4. Pour the sauce over the onion and nestle the seasoned beef roast on top.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours until the meat is fork‑tender.
  6. Shred the beef with two forks and stir to combine with the sauce.
  7. Serve hot, optionally garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of liquid smoke before cooking.
