- 3 lb beef chuck roast
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Optional garnish: chopped green onions
Instructions
- Season the beef chuck roast with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
- Place the sliced onion at the bottom of the crockpot.
- Mix beef broth, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and minced garlic in a bowl.
- Pour the sauce over the onion and nestle the seasoned beef roast on top.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours until the meat is fork‑tender.
- Shred the beef with two forks and stir to combine with the sauce.
- Serve hot, optionally garnished with chopped green onions.
Notes
