Description

Tender beef tips simmered in a rich brown gravy, perfect for a comforting family meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 lb beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 packet brown gravy mix
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the beef stew meat with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and brown the meat in batches, then transfer to the slow cooker.
  3. Add the sliced onion and minced garlic to the skillet, sauté for 2 minutes, then place in the slow cooker.
  4. In a bowl, combine beef broth, brown gravy mix, and Worcestershire sauce, stirring until smooth.
  5. Pour the mixture over the meat and vegetables in the slow cooker.
  6. Cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours, until the meat is tender.
  7. Stir occasionally and adjust seasoning if needed.
  8. Serve hot garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

For a thicker gravy, remove the lid during the last 30 minutes of cooking to reduce the sauce. Leftovers reheat well.
