Description

A hearty, melt-in-your-mouth lasagna made in the slow cooker, perfect for set-it-and-forget-it meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, add onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
  2. Add ground beef, season with salt, pepper, basil, and oregano, and cook until browned.
  3. Transfer the meat mixture to the slow cooker and stir in marinara sauce.
  4. Layer half of the lasagna noodles over the sauce, then spread half of the ricotta mixture on top.
  5. Add the remaining meat sauce, then dollop the rest of the ricotta, and sprinkle with mozzarella.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until noodles are tender and cheese is melted.
  7. Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Allow the lasagna to rest so the slices hold together.
