A quick and indulgent twist on the classic Monte Cristo sandwich, using sweet Hawaiian rolls, smoked ham, smoked turkey, and melted Gruyère cheese, baked to golden perfection.

- 1 package Sweet Hawaiian Dinner Rolls (12-count)
- ½ pound deli sliced smoked ham
- ½ pound deli sliced smoked turkey
- ½ pound Gruyère cheese, hand grated
- 1 stick salted butter, melted
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, beaten egg, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and mayonnaise to create a glaze.
- Slice each Hawaiian roll horizontally, leaving the tops attached to form a hinge.
- Layer ham, turkey, and grated Gruyère cheese on the bottom half of each roll.
- Close the rolls and brush the tops and sides with the prepared glaze.
- Arrange the sliders on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For extra crispiness, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end. Serve with a side of pickles or coleslaw.
