A creamy, spicy, viral pasta dish inspired by Gigi Hadid — perfect for a cozy and quick dinner.
Ingredients

- 16 ounces rigatoni pasta or penne
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon fresh garlic, finely minced
- 2/3 cup tomato paste
- 1 1/3 cup heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes (or to taste)
- 2 teaspoons dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan (more to taste)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Pasta water
- Optional garnishes: finely chopped parsley and red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package directions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the tomato paste and cook for 4–5 minutes, stirring until it darkens slightly.
- Pour in the heavy cream and add the red pepper flakes, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes on low heat.
- Add the butter and stir until melted and smooth.
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce along with some reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
- Stir in the grated parmesan until melted and fully combined.
- Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley and extra red pepper flakes if desired.
Notes
Use full-fat cream for the richest texture. Adjust chili flakes to your spice preference.
