- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 green onions, sliced (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add ground turkey and cook, breaking it apart, until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add onion and bell pepper; sauté until softened, about 3 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook briefly.
- Mix in smoked paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Add rice and stir to coat, cooking for 1 minute.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 18–20 minutes until rice is tender and liquid absorbed.
- Let rest 5 minutes, fluff with a fork, garnish with green onions, and serve.
Notes
