  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup sliced mushrooms (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add ground beef, breaking it up, and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in garlic, ginger, and mushrooms; cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add broccoli florets and stir-fry for 3 minutes until slightly tender.
  5. Mix soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, cornstarch, and beef broth in a small bowl.
  6. Pour the sauce over the beef and vegetables, stirring to coat.
  7. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  8. Season with black pepper and garnish with sliced green onions.
  9. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.

Notes

For extra crunch, add sliced bell pepper or carrots.
