Description

Juicy, cheesy sliders on sweet Hawaiian rolls, perfect for a quick family dinner or party snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup onion, diced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 8 slices cheddar cheese
  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls (dinner rolls, stuck together)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon parsley, fresh or dried
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon, until fully cooked.
  2. Add the diced onion, salt, and garlic to the beef; cook until the onion softens, about 3 minutes.
  3. Stir in the BBQ sauce and let it simmer for 2 minutes, coating the meat evenly.
  4. Preheat a grill or skillet to medium heat.
  5. Brush the cut sides of the Hawaiian rolls with melted butter and sprinkle with parsley.
  6. Place the buttered rolls, cut side down, on the grill for 1 minute until lightly toasted.
  7. Assemble each slider: place a generous spoonful of the cheesy beef mixture on the bottom half of a roll, top with a slice of cheddar, then close with the top roll.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of smoked paprika or a dash of Worcestershire sauce to the meat mixture.
