Description

A quick, low-carb lettuce wrap filled with savory ground turkey, carrots, and garlic, seasoned with soy sauce for an Asian-inspired flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 head lettuce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 cup carrots, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add ground turkey, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in soy sauce and carrots, cooking for another 3 minutes until carrots are slightly tender.
  5. Season with salt and pepper, then remove from heat.
  6. Separate lettuce leaves from the head, wash and pat dry.
  7. Spoon the turkey mixture into each lettuce leaf and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  8. Fold the lettuce around the filling and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra crunch, add sliced green onions or a splash of lime juice before serving.
