Description
A rich, tangy sweet BBQ sauce perfect for ribs, chicken, or as a dipping sauce.
Ingredients

- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp molasses
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Combine ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, molasses, smoked paprika, and Worcestershire sauce in a saucepan.
- Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
- Add garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt; mix well.
- Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
- Transfer to a jar and refrigerate; flavor improves after a few hours.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. This sauce can be frozen for up to 3 months.
