- ¼ cup honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional)
Instructions
- Pat the chicken pieces dry and season with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and olive oil.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add a splash of oil if needed.
- Place the chicken pieces in the skillet, skin side down, and sear for 4‑5 minutes until browned.
- Flip the chicken and pour the honey garlic sauce over the pieces.
- Reduce heat to medium, cover, and cook for 15‑20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce thickens.
- If using cornstarch, mix it with a little water and stir into the sauce to thicken further.
- Transfer the chicken to a serving platter and drizzle any remaining sauce over the top.
- Garnish with extra minced garlic or fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
For extra crispiness, ensure the skillet is hot before adding the chicken. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
