Description

A quick and delicious slider with sweet Hawaiian rolls, savory turkey, crispy bacon, and melted Swiss cheese, all enhanced with a maple-Dijon sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp dried minced onion
  • ½ lb deli turkey breast sliced thin
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • 10 slices maple bacon
  • ½ stick unsalted butter
  • smoked paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Cook 10 slices of maple bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, then drain on paper towels and crumble.
  3. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, and dried minced onion to make a sauce.
  4. Melt ½ stick unsalted butter and stir in a pinch of smoked paprika.
  5. Brush the melted butter mixture onto the cut sides of the Hawaiian rolls and sprinkle with smoked paprika.
  6. Place rolls cut-side up on a baking sheet and bake for 5-7 minutes until golden.
  7. Split the rolls and spread sauce on the bottom half of each roll.
  8. Add a slice of Swiss cheese to 8 of the sliders (the remaining 4 will not have cheese).
  9. Top with 2-3 slices of turkey breast and crumbled bacon.
  10. Add a dollop of additional sauce if desired, then cover with the top half of the roll.
  11. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, use fresh Hawaiian rolls and cook the bacon until very crispy. The sauce can be made ahead of time.
