Description

Moist banana bread infused with chocolate chips, made in a single bowl for easy cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • ⅓ cup butter, melted
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • salt, to taste
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter, sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Add baking soda and a pinch of salt, mixing until just incorporated.
  5. Fold in the all-purpose flour until the batter is just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  6. Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips and ground cinnamon.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Slice and enjoy.

Notes

For best texture, let the batter rest for 5 minutes before baking. You can also add walnuts or swap chocolate chips for raisins.
