These juicy pull-apart meatball sliders on sweet Hawaiian rolls with pepperoni Parmesan sauce are perfect for parties, game days, or a quick family dinner. Easy to make and irresistibly cheesy!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 clove finely minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced parsley flakes
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • ¼ cup finely chopped pepperoni
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 14 ounce can crushed tomatoes or tomato sauce
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • ¼ teaspoon Kosher salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground pepper
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 12-pack Hawaiian rolls or slider buns
  • 12 thin slices Mozzarella or Provolone cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 12 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley or chives, to garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl combine ground beef, Kosher salt, black pepper, onion powder, minced garlic, parsley flakes, egg, breadcrumbs, and grated Parmesan cheese; mix until just combined.
  3. Form the mixture into 12 meatballs and place each on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake meatballs for 15 minutes, turning once, until browned and cooked through.
  5. While meatballs bake, heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat; add chopped pepperoni and minced garlic, sauté 1 minute.
  6. Stir in crushed tomatoes, dried basil, Kosher salt, and ground pepper; simmer 10 minutes, then stir in grated Parmesan cheese and set sauce aside.
  7. Split each Hawaiian roll lengthwise without cutting through the bottom; brush inside with melted butter and sprinkle with extra grated Parmesan cheese.
  8. Place a baked meatball in each roll, top with a slice of mozzarella or provolone, spoon over pepperoni sauce, and garnish with chopped parsley or chives.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy the pull‑apart goodness!

Notes

For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the sauce. You can also use ground turkey for a lighter version.
