- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 orange bell pepper, sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 16 oz (450g) ground sausage
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 12 Hawaiian savory butter rolls
- 8 oz (225g) mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon Creole seasoning
- 1 tablespoon butter, softened
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Optional: fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add sliced red and orange peppers and onion; sauté 5 minutes until softened.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook 1 minute more.
- Add ground sausage, breaking it up with a spoon; cook until browned, about 6 minutes.
- Mix in salt, Italian seasoning, and Creole seasoning; cook 1 minute.
- Reduce heat and stir in shredded mozzarella until melted and combined.
- Slice the tops off the Hawaiian rolls and hollow out a small pocket.
- Spread softened butter on the inside of each roll; sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Spoon the sausage‑pepper mixture into each roll, filling generously.
- Place assembled sliders on a baking sheet and bake 12‑15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
For extra crispiness, toast the rolls lightly before adding fillings.
