Creamy, tangy deviled eggs featuring sweet relish and a hint of hot sauce, perfect for Southern gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 6 large hard-boiled eggs, peeled and halved
  • ΒΌ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 2 tablespoons sweet relish (or chopped bread-and-butter pickles)
  • dash of hot sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • paprika, for garnish
  • fresh dill or chives, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Peel the hard-boiled eggs and slice them in half lengthwise.
  2. Remove the yolks and place them in a bowl.
  3. Mash the yolks and combine with mayonnaise, yellow mustard, sweet relish, hot sauce, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spoon the mixture back into the egg white halves.
  5. Garnish with a pinch of paprika and fresh dill or chives.

Notes

For extra creaminess, add a splash of pickle juice or lemon juice.
