Description

A fun and festive layered taco dip decorated with a sour cream spiderweb, perfect for Halloween parties.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream (plus extra for decorating)
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • Tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in taco seasoning according to package instructions and set aside to cool.
  3. In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, 1 cup sour cream, and salsa until smooth.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly in the bottom of a serving dish.
  5. Layer the seasoned ground beef on top.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the beef.
  7. Add shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and black olives as toppings.
  8. Fill a piping bag (or plastic bag with tip cut off) with sour cream and pipe a spiderweb design on top of the dip.
  9. Serve with tortilla chips.

Notes

For extra spookiness, place a plastic spider on top before serving (remove before eating). Best served chilled.
