Description
Tender, flavorful cube steak slow cooked in a rich onion and mushroom gravy. This easy comfort food recipe is perfect for busy days and pairs wonderfully with mashed potatoes or rice.

			- 1.5 lbs cube steak
 - 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
 - 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of onion soup
 - 1 packet onion soup mix
 - 1/2 cup beef broth
 - 1 onion, thinly sliced
 - 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
 - Salt and pepper to taste
 - 2 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)
 - Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
 
Instructions
- Season cube steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
 - Place sliced onions in the bottom of the slow cooker.
 - Layer cube steaks over the onions.
 - In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, cream of onion soup, beef broth, onion soup mix, and Worcestershire sauce.
 - Pour the mixture over the steak in the slow cooker.
 - Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours or on high for 4 hours, until steaks are fork-tender.
 - If you prefer a thicker gravy, mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl, then stir into the sauce during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
 - Serve hot with mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
 
Notes
For added flavor, sear the cube steaks in a skillet before placing them in the slow cooker. Leftovers reheat well and taste even better the next day.
